The HEIC decoder (LGPL-3.0)

libheif-js, libheif and libde265 are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3. We use the WebAssembly build published by libheif-js version 1.23.5 without changes. It is loaded as its own file (named libheif-bundle-….js in your browser’s network tab), separate from Benchmo’s code, so it can be replaced with another build of the same library.

If you would like a copy of the exact source we use, write to [email protected].

Used only to build the site

These run on our side when the site is built and are not sent to your browser: Satori and resvg-js (MPL-2.0) for share images, Vitest, Playwright and zxing-wasm (scanning our QR codes and barcodes back) for tests.

Sample files

The “try a sample file” photos are released under CC0 by their photographers (Rachel Michetti, Stéfan van der Walt), via the scikit-image sample data set.
