Removing one page can shrink a PDF far more than you would guess. When we deleted the photo page from a three-page, 651 KB statement, the two pages left made a 24 KB file. So if a PDF is over an email limit and one page is a big scan or photo the recipient does not need, deleting it is the quickest way under.
Removing pages, step by step
- Choose the PDF. A preview of every page appears.
- Click each page you want gone. It fades and gets a red cross; click it again to keep it after all.
- Check the count next to the button, for example “2 pages left”.
- Press the button, which also counts for you (“Delete 1 page”, “Delete 3 pages”), and download the result. It is saved under the original name with “-edited” added.
Blank pages from a duplex scan, a fax cover sheet or an outdated page in a contract are the usual candidates.
Delete or split?
Both build a new PDF from some of your pages. Here you mark what to throw away, which is faster when you drop one or two pages out of many. When you want to keep only two or three pages of a long file, tick those in Split PDF with “Selected pages” instead. If the page is fine but sideways, Rotate PDF is what you need.
What the new file keeps
The pages you keep are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and photos are not recompressed. The order cannot be changed here; pages stay in their original sequence. Bookmarks are not carried over, and fillable form fields may stop working, so fill in a form before removing its pages.
