The sample file has four rows. Turned into four PNG codes, it took 147 milliseconds, and the ZIP held benchmo-home.png, merge-pdf.png, qr-generator.png and barcode-generator.png, each code decoding back to the link in its row. A file of 500 rows takes longer, more so on a phone, but the work is the same: one code per row, named from a column you choose.
The file this tool expects
| url | name |
|---|---|
https://benchmo.com/ |
benchmo-home |
https://benchmo.com/pdf/merge-pdf/ |
merge-pdf |
The first row counts as a header when it has no link or digits but the row below it does, as with url, name here. If the guess is wrong, untick or tick “First row is a header”. With more than one column, two menus appear: “Column with the content” and “Column for file names”. Pick “Number the files” in the second to get qr-001.png, qr-002.png and so on.
One difference from the single generator: each cell goes into its code exactly as written. Nothing adds https:// to example.com, and without it a phone may treat the code as plain text rather than a link. Write full links.
Saving it from a spreadsheet
- In Excel, choose File, Save As, and the type “CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited)”.
- In Google Sheets, choose File, Download, “Comma-separated values (.csv)”.
- In Numbers, choose File, Export To, CSV.
Excel in many European locales saves with semicolons instead of commas; the tool sees that from the first line and reads it correctly. Cells with a comma inside, wrapped in quotes by the spreadsheet, stay in one piece.
File names in the ZIP
Names are taken from the name column as they are, spaces included. Characters that Windows or macOS refuse in a file name, such as /, :, ? and *, become underscores. Two rows with the same name get name.png and name (2).png, so no code overwrites another. The ZIP itself is named after your CSV: benchmo-links.csv gives benchmo-links-qr.zip.
PNG files are 1024 × 1024 pixels, good for documents and label software that wants images. SVG suits print shops and design programs, and we would choose it for anything going onto stickers or signs. For product barcodes instead of QR codes, see the barcode generator.
